How and when do you listen to podcasts?

Commuting, waiting in line, on planes, and occasionally when I’m trying to fall asleep.

What podcasts do you listen to?

I love Recode Decode, hosted by Kara Swisher, the best journalist in tech, who has a consistently interesting set of guests from tech headliners like Jennifer Hyman, CEO of Rent the Runway, to Tristan Harris, who advocates for tech companies to be mindful of their power over consumers.

Product Hunt Radio was one of my favorite podcasts, but has been defunct since July 2016. It’s worth going back and listening to the old episodes, though, especially the one with Donald Rumsfeld.

Bloomberg’s Deal of the Week is a nice way to stay in touch with Wall Street gossip.

And what kind of founder would I be if I didn’t love StartUp from Gimlet Media? It’s the number one thing I recommend to people thinking of starting their own company: it’s so full of practical advice and details a lot of the struggles all founders face at some point.

Are there any podcast episodes that have had a big impact on your life, business, or thinking?

The episode of Startup where Alex Blumberg and Matt Lieber negotiate equity in their startup is painful but really illuminating, especially if you’re ever going to have one of those conversations with a partner.
