How and when do you listen to podcasts?

I actually listen to podcasts all the time!

Whenever I am commuting in the car, or during my workouts. I try to use that idle time to learn something new that will help me grow - both in life and my business.

What podcasts do you listen to?

The Startup Chat - Hiten is one of my favorite people, and I love hearing his and Steli’s conversations. This one tends to skew more towards startups that have or plan to raise capital. But there is a ton of stuff on hiring, culture, etc.

Perpetual Traffic - This one has been fantastic when it comes to learning paid ads. I credit this podcast with growing my business the most last year. And everything from Digital Marketer is pretty amazing in general.

My Wife Quit Her Job - I love this one because it is all about small businesses, and has a lot of good lessons for anyone selling things online.

Are there any podcast episodes that have had a big impact on your life, business, or thinking?

I wouldn’t say there are specific episodes per se.

In 2016 I listened to almost every episode of Perpetual Traffic. With just that knowledge I was able to learn Facebook ads, and that helped our website inkandvolt.com do over $1.1M in sales.

If you wanted to know where to start, I would begin with their first few episodes. There are some great case studies, and it lays out the philosophy of warming people up to your brand using paid traffic.
