How and when do you listen to podcasts?
I listen to podcasts every weekday on my bike ride into work. I use the iTunes store to stream.
I follow 10-12 podcasts—some more closely than others—and I always take an extra minute or two to select the most interesting podcast to me before I hop on the bike.
What podcasts do you listen to?
Noah Kagan Presents is my new jam. He’s so curious and trying to get the most out of life. He’s also excellent at marketing, so I enjoy it for that too.
I also listen to SaaStr, The Startup Chat, & Intercom’s podcast when topics are relevant.
I like Unthinkable when I’m looking for creative inspiration.
And if I’m looking for general interesting stuff I go for How I Built This, Stuff You Should Know, The Bill Simmons podcast, or Planet Money.
Are there any podcast episodes that have had a big impact on your life, business, or thinking?
Noah Kagan sometimes offers a ‘challenge’ at the end of his podcasts. One was to wake up every day for a week at 5am. Although I didn’t wake up EVERY day at 5am, I did start routinely waking up around then, and getting more out of my days as a result.
Getting out of my usual sleep routine helped me realized I was previously getting too much sleep. Now I have more time and better energy.
